When creating the new site for Hugh Rice, we wanted to bring to the internet a site which matched the Hugh Rice brand which is well known for a quality product.
When designing the site, we wanted to make the shopping experience as easy as possible, providing simple navigation and filtering facilities. However, this needed to be provided in a way which enabled the Hugh Rice staff to be able to maintain simply and without duplicating effort between their web site and their EPOS solution (provided by Bransom),
We've integrated a feed directly from Bransom into the web site, using our flexible product loading processes. We load the file into a holding area then convert the information we've received into our standard format which can be loaded into the live tables. This means that the Hugh Rice staff can keep their catalogue data maintained within their existing systems, safe in the knowledge that the web site will honour their setup on the site and react to movements of products / edits / price changes and category maintenance.
